To get started, meet with one of our experienced food safety consultants via phone, Zoom, or if local, in-person to discuss your motivation for getting certified and what it means for your company.
Next, your consultant will schedule an in-house visit to provide an in-depth presentation of the certification process and what it will take to get certified. At this time, your consultant will also require a tour of the facility for a preliminary assessment. Based on the assessment of current safety procedures, C.W. Enterprises can determine how much support will be needed to rectify any problem areas.
Typically, depending on your company’s location and the level of support needed, your designated consultant will visit the facility monthly. Zoom calls are available as needed in-between visits to keep the team on track and ensure targets are being met.
Approximately one month prior to your company’s upcoming audit, your consultant will conduct a mock audit to test readiness. Any issues that are identified during the mock audit can be worked on in the weeks leading up to the certification audit.
Finally, the moment we’ve all been waiting for– the official certification audit! If the auditing body is amenable, your consultant will be present during the actual audit to provide support.
At this point, your team is hopefully celebrating its newest certification; however, if the auditing body found issues during your audit, your consultant will assist with writing responses to the findings. He or she will also be available as often as needed afterwards to answer questions and when the time approaches, help you get ready for the next audit.
